ROE GREEN - LADIES DOUBLES COMPETITION – OCTOBER 16^th 2008

6 entrants (see website for details)

Entrants will be allocated a letter (A, B, C, D, E or F) by draw and will then play 6 games based on the new scoring system as per the following table.

A and B vs C and D

A and C vs B and D

A and D vs B and C

C and D vs E and F

C and E vs D and F

C and F vs D and E

E and F vs A and B

E and A vs F and B

E and B vs F and A

By the luck (or otherwise) of the draw, each player will end up with a buddy with whom they will play twice rather than the once with everybody else. Mind you, the buddy will have to be played against four times instead of twice.

A table will be produced in prime order of games won, secondary consideration being given to points won and then if necessary points difference.

1^st and 2^nd place in the table will then play 3^rd and 4^th place in the final.

If time allows, the final should be played as best of 3 games.

5^th and 6^th place can either watch or go home.

ROE GREEN - GENTLEMEN COMPETITION – OCTOBER 16^th 2008

12 entrants (see website for details)

Pairings will be split into two groups of three.

Each pair within a group will play the other two pairs twice using the new scoring system.

A table will be produced for each group in prime order of games won, secondary consideration being given to points won and then if necessary points difference.

First positions in both groups will play each other in the competition final. If time allows this will be best of 3 games.

Second places in both tables will play each other over one game to decide 3^rd ad 4^th place.

Third places in both tables will play each other over one game to decide 5^th and 6^th place.
